Enumeration of Sets From the Database of the Estimate

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Use Case

The 'Articles from databases' filter excludes the articles or sets from the database of the estimate. To count the sets from the database of the estimate, others filters are needed.

Prerequisites

The estimate features an internal database.

You have created the special field Is header of set? Refer to How to Create Free Special Columns.

Use

The "Grouped by" key does not matter a lot: select generally None or Article name.

The mode must be "Group identical articles".

Two extra filters are available:

Sets from the base (Referenced): the Nomenclatures tab shows only the headers of sets directly invoked in the view of Minutes

Sets from the base (All): it shows "flattened" all the headers of sets even when for sets nested in the database.

Then click Refresh, and wait.

The sets created in or inserted into the view of Minutes do not show.

As of fields based on a formula, insert the columns of the operands, otherwise Missing Field! shows.

The Total rows make sense only with the first filter. They feature values in a free column only if they show something in the totals. (Refer to How to Create Free Columns with Custom Behavior.)

CAVEAT These functions are incompatible with the creation of the 'Quantity for evaluation WBS' special field.
