Common features (selecting source, mapping columns, exclusions)

Source = estimate with a specific list of fields (template)

Mapping = correspondence between source fields and spreadsheet columns

Exclusions = special rows exempted from the check

Saving with mapping, saving mapping in a separate file

To save the workbook and column mapping, click File>Save.

To save the column mapping and template source, click Settings>Save Settings; this creates a .qdvconvert file.

Editing under Microsoft Excel

It is possible to enter new values either in the Converter, or in Excel by clicking Edit Outside; both versions can be opened simultaneously. The changes made in Excel pass on to Converter when you close the xls file.
