How to Customize the Behavior of Native Columns

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

The cells of native columns in the Minutes view and the Nomenclatures have, of course, a content whose type is fixed.

To understand a field, consider the formula from which it is computed.

The Native Columns tab deals only with orphan columns (i.e. not under the parents Material or Workforce) and features only

the replacement and uniqueness attributes, as in How to Create Specific Set of Columns with Custom Behavior- MT/WF

the group attributes, as in How to Create Specific Set of Columns with Custom Behavior- MT/WF

the visibility/allowances attributes, as in How to Create Specific Set of Columns with Custom Behavior- MT/WF

If the Quantity field features a replacement field, the function "Adjust Quantities" (see How to Fill in the Minutes) applies to it

If the Quantity field features a formula and subsequently a replacement field, AND the Quantity column is removed, the quantities of tasks (headers of section) in the Minutes view are visible and editable in the replacement field column (unless the replacement field entry is allowed only in the WBS). This is not true if the Quantity column visibility in the estimate is set to No.
