Use Case

When data are used several times in an estimate, whether directly or through formulas, or are subject to variations, it is a good idea to represent them by variables identified by a name. Thus only primary values will need update. QDV7 fetches the values when the Selling prices are computed. This way the cell/field values can be indexed on variables. Examples: market prices.

On the contrary, the unit cost or rate variations in the Minutes view are handled by Time Frame Sheets.

 

Similarly, you can assign names to ranges in tables for easier access or pasting.
